Back by popular demand! If you missed the classes in January, we are offering this introductory workshop again. Here is an opportunity to learn more about getting your trees ready for spring.
Enjoy a fun and informative introduction to the art of tree shaping taught by experts Joe and Ricardo Monte. This class features "hands-on" learning with individual assistance.
During our time together, we will tour the nursery observing the characteristics of various trees & and how pruning has enhanced their structure. You’ll get a preview of exciting trees new to our collection including Magnolia x "Genie." Flowers on this small (10 feet) hybrid magnolia are dark maroon with tips of lighter magenta. Frequently `Genie’ repeats the bloom in midsummer.
Fee: $25 - Iincludes a tree of your own to work on and take home with you.
Class is limited to 12 so reservations are encouraged.
We’ll be working outdoors so bring layers.
Please bring your own clippers.
Looking for a relaxed and fun way to connect with friends and family in the coming months? Bring your club or group to the gardens at Wildwood Farm for your own tailor-made workshop. Examples of workshops: Container planting, tree shaping, and wreath making.
