Free Presentation & Tour
Saturday, April 26, 2014 -1:00pm
The nursery at Wildwood Farm offers over thirty different varieties of dogwood (genus: Cornus). Some are native to the East Coast (of US) and some to the West Coast; while others are native to China and Korea.
The first part of this class is a PowerPoint presentation. Images taken at different times of the year show an assortment of dogwood types. This part of the class will also cover the basic growing requirements of these lovely, graceful trees.
We will also tour the nursery and gardens discussing broad characteristics and differences among the varieties. You will discover certain dogwoods which usually bloom a second time at the end of summer or early fall.
Friendly dogs welcome on a leash
